About the Artists
Karen Minasian-Hill is a mosaic artist whose work is inspired by the beauty of the natural world. Working in a traditional representational style, she creates pieces ranging from 3” x 3” to 3’ x 3’ in size. She has been influenced by Byzantine mosaics, classical still life, and Italian frescos. Karen has studied mosaic techniques in Virginia, Arizona, California, and Italy and holds a degree in Theatre Arts from Occidental College. She combines a modern eye with traditional craftsmanship to create truly unique art.

Brian Curtis Hill specializes in marquetry and other woodworking. Having worked with wood for most of his life, his interest in marquetry grew out of his appreciation for art and his desire to incorporate embellishment into his furniture and other wood pieces.
His work is inspired by nature as well as historical figures and scenes from poetry and mythology. Brian has studied marquetry in California and Italy. He earned a degree in Economics from Occidental College and an MBA from Vanderbilt University. He brings a thoughtful and analytical approach to his work.
